Class Representatives (Class Reps) are chosen by students in a subject and paper to represent students to the lecturer/examiner and to act as LUSA representatives. Class Reps are the first part of the representation system at the University, providing informal and constructive) feedback to lecturers in relation to subjects as well as occasionally relaying information onto students from Lecturers/examiners or the LUSA Education Coordinator.
Class Reps are administered by the Education Coordinator (Quentin Findlay). The Education Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Class Reps are given the support that they need this occurs through regular Class Rep Newsletters as well as Class Rep Council Who can be a Class Rep?
Any student who is enrolled a student in the Class concerned can be a Class Rep. They simply need to have the support of their peers and be elected or appointed by the Class in question.
Class Rep Council is a new forum and is a meeting of all Class Reps that occurs every term between LUSA and the Class Reps. Members of the University are invited as well. At Class Rep Council, Class Reps can discuss matters of interest and concern in relation to subjects and the University as well as receiving feedback and advice.
